The film “The Party’s Over” is part of “The Humane League” wider I’m Not Lovin’ It campaign. According to the “The Humane League”, the goal of the campaign is “to let people know that McDonald’s is ghosting its duty to improve the miserable lives of the chickens in its supply chain, while its executives and major shareholders rake in billions”.
The film was created by the advertising agency Don’t Panic and directed by Matias Rygh / Mathias Eriksen.
The marketing message is “As one of the biggest restaurant chains in the world, McDonald’s is profiting from chickens bred to suffer. Under their new “improved welfare” policy, chickens raised and killed for its menu are still forcefully bred to grow so large and so fast that they literally become immobilized under the weight of their own enormous bodies, often unable to stand or walk and left to lie in their own excrement. The issue is so severe that if we, humans, grew at a rate similar to McDonald’s chickens, we would weigh 660 pounds at just two months old”
