The advertising agency Ogilvy, Paris unveiled a funny commercial for Motorola in response to Samsung’s ‘Growing Up’ viral advert. The film was produced by Sovage and directed by Lucas Posson.
This parody is funny but not effective as the unique selling point of the product cannot convince the viewers. Also, the comments are mostly negative to Motorola like: “Upgrading to a thick bezel phone? More like downgrading if you get Motorola.” or “Only If Motorola’s Phones were actually better.” and “Are you serious?? Are you trying to challenge Samsung and Apple?”
Once again, if an advert is funny it does not necessarily mean it is also effective.
