Aside featuring a boy for the first time in its ads for Barbie, the new Mattel’s commercial from has nothing special at all. On the other side, Moschino Barbie was sold out within an hour of release even it wasn’t cheap as it was retailed for $150.
Moschino and Mattel declare that the ad is more fauxmercial than a real commercial (fauxmercial definition: not a real commercial).
Anyway, Mattel needs some PR because next year Hasbro just won Mattel’s license to sell the Disney Princesses (like Elsa, Ana, Rapunzel…), and this ad makes the Internet talk a lot about Mattel …
