FIAT unveiled “The electric you don’t expect” advert featuring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film was created by the advertising agency Leo Burnett, Italy.
The message is “Ready to discover unexpected sides of the electric world? There are many reasons for making this choice. But perhaps not everyone has yet found their own! Let yourself be amazed by the future advancing with New Fiat 500.”
Directed by Martin Werner through the Movie Magic production company, the tagline of the commercial is “Welcome to the new Dolce Vita.”

The music of this FIAT commercial was composed by Italian maestro Nino Rota as part of the soundtrack for Federico Fellini’s timeless masterpiece “La Dolce Vita”, an icon of Italian style starring Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg. The track is called “La Dolce Vita (Original Vocal Version)”: it was performed by Italian actress and singer Katyna Ranieri, and it has been brought back to light as part of CAM Sugar’s activity dedicated to the rediscovery and restoration of Italian cinema music’s treasures, presented for the first time through this FIAT commercial. The lyrics are flawless in portraying the atmosphere of the jet-setting Roman nightlife during the years of the Dolce Vita, picturing cars driving through Rome’s “Dolce strada” (“Sweet Street”). Two Italian icons together: the music of Nino Rota and the splendid NEW FIAT 500. It’s been a true pleasure and honor to partner with FIAT again on this one: what a powerful Italian heritage has been put into this!
