World of Tanks Super Bowl 2017 campaign has four 15-second funny commercials:
- “Fantasy Sports Bros” – At Fantasy Sports Bros, bros like Chad Bradley bet on fantasy sports. And get destroyed by a non-fantasy tank. Because Tanks Rule!
- “Stiffedra” – If the effects of Stiffedra last longer than four hours, you’re welcome. Also effective on tank turrets. Because Tanks Rule!
- “Real Awful Moms” – Real awful moms get awfully nasty over a glass of Pinot Gris. Then a real awful tank gets involved. Because Tanks Rule!
- “Teensy House Buyers” – Carrie and Derrick make a big decision on a teensy house. Until a tank destroys their teensy house. Because Tanks Rule!
The strategy of the adverts is to surprise the viewer with tanks entrance into the various scenes.
The adverts were created by the advertising agency Mekanism. The campaign tagline is “In a World of Tanks, Tanks Rule!”
World of Tanks is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Belarusian-Cypriot company Wargaming, featuring early to mid-20th century era combat vehicles.
