Very creative!
Tubi, a streaming service bought by Fox in 2020 for $440 million, broadcast two during the Super Bowl ads a 15-sec “Interface Interruption” and the 60-sec ad “Rabbit Hole.”
The first Tubi Super Bowl 2023 commercial, “Interface Interruption,” is a prank that makes everyone question where their TV remotes are.
Tubi had everyone scratching their heads and searching for their TV remotes like a crazy game of hide and seek when their 2023 Super Bowl ad aired on Sunday. The 15-second spot was a wild ride that left viewers on the edge of their seats! First, we thought we were watching the regular old Super Bowl LVII broadcast with Fox Sports announcers Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen. But then…BAM! It was like someone hacked the screen and took us on a journey through the Tubi TV app to find something to watch. It was like a wild goose chase through a library of streaming services! #WhereIsMyRemote?
There are countless comments on social media about the Tubi Super Bowl prank ad like this: “My whole family broke out blaming each other for sitting on the remote. My dad said my brother was but really it was the ad. My dad was also very clearly holding the remote. We all said that we hated Tubi after seeing this ad. I’m still dying of laughter inside.” or this, “y’all had me scrambling to my remote thinking my tv was hacked.”
The Tubi said about the prank: “No, you didn’t sit on the remote. But on Super Bowl Sunday, we fooled audiences into thinking they did.”
The second Super Bowl ad of Tubi is named “Rabbit Hole” and features giant rabbits. Scarry.
Excellent
A funny prank!
