The name of the game is “Evony: The Kings Return.” It is a mobile RTS game where you should build cities, train troops, expand your empire, and conquer the City of Thrones to become the King! You can choose from 5 unique cultures to customize your game’s architectural style: American, Chinese, European, Korean, and Japanese.
To promote the “Evony: The Kings Return” game, Top Games USA Inc. has purchased a 30-second spot in the Super Bowl 2017. The advertising agency Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners creates the spot for the Big Game and an extended cut for online. The result is amazing!
The agency Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners explains that Evony is a strategy game with roots in the desktop world. In relaunching the game for mobile, they had to reach the discerning 25-54-year-old male audience – while elevating the perception of the game and the category itself… a category where creativity is awash with mindless action and sex.
So, the creative team of Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners produced a cinematic series featuring a rich, character-driven world centering on the storyline of three generals… 14 centuries and three continents apart, uniting on one battlefield. For the leading roles, they had the good fortune of casting Aaron Eckhart as George Washington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as King Arthur, and one of China’s biggest stars, Fan Bingbing, as Empress Wu.
