Volvo Trucks: the little girl with a remote control
In this commercial
The advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors, Sweden did an excellent commercial for Volvo Trucks. The advert (named “Look who’s driving”) is set like a live test experiential and it features 4-year-old Sophie, a little girl with a remote control and a full-size Volvo truck.
She drives the truck through a gravel pit filled with obstacles. The remote control used by Sophie was specially made for this video advert. Highly sensitive, the compact RC unit provided access to steering, accelerator, gearshift and brakes. The ad was produced by New Land, Sweden.
Directed by Megaforce and filmed in Serbia, the ad aims to prove that Volvo FMX is the toughest truck Volvo ever built and now it come with Automatic Traction Control (a new feature that automatically engages the front axle when you need it – you won’t get stuck).
Music of Volvo Trucks commercial is Cobrastyle by Teddybears (a Swedish band formed in 1991, known for mixing pop, rock, hip-hop).
Forsman & Bodenfors was the Independent Agency of the Year 2014 at Cannes Lions.
Remote drive a full-size Volvo truck
A brilliant way to demonstrate what the Volvo truck can do. The real challenge and the setup push the Volvo commercial in the viral video area.
