The supermarket chain Rema 1000 Oslo, Norway unveiled this funny TV commercial directed by Andreas Riiser, via Bacon. The theme of this advert is the Smart Home concept. More precisely the nightmare of any technology lover: when the smart home gets crazy. So, the conclusion of this film is “simpler is better” as Rema 1000 offers up a limited number of products.
REMA 1000 is a multinational no-frills supermarket chain owned entirely by the Reitan Group (Reitangruppen). REMA is a short for Reitan Mat (Reitan Food), referring to Odd Reitan (founder of the company). 1000 refers to offering a selection of only one thousand different products (see the history section).
