The new Volkswagen commercial is funny and it promote the Volkswagen Passat TDI Clean Diesel (up to 814 highway miles/tan). The headline is “Keep track of your kids. Not your fuel gauge.”
As the diesel fuel is cheap those days, the brief for a commercial to promote fuel efficiency should be different than usual “save some dollars”. so the advertising agency, Deutsch L.A., comes with idea that fewer stops to gas stations keep you out of the troubles.
Unfortunately when you go to learn more about the Passat TDI Clean Diesel on Volkswagen official webpage there are not any clear details about this feature.
The music is “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” performed by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.
The commercial should be don’t let your baby’s grow up to be brats. To many commercials out their that show the kids be disrespectful.
Carol, I agree that this trend is not the right way. Volkswagen TV spot just trying to be funny and use a mom’s nightmare: stop at a gas station with her kids…
This ad is rather strange and troubling, as it shows a woman kidnapping the two boys from the gas station store. Doesn’t anyone think that’s odd?
Good observation 🙂
