GEICO unveiled a new hilarious commercial featuring the talking lizard and Eternals footage.
The message is “Sure, the Eternals are a race of immortal beings who have helped guide humans throughout history. But can they save you money on car, boat, motorcycle, and RV insurance? See Marvel Studios’ #Eternals, only in theaters.”
Eternals is an upcoming American superhero film, intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations.

I’m tired of comic book movies, even the high-quality Marvel ones. I was ambivalent about The Eternals, but thought I might go see it for a diversion. After seeing this commercial online I definitely decided to wait until it’s streamable. Not only do I wonder what this movie has to do with insurance, I also fully expect to see the pathetic lizard in a commercial prior to the film, as well as a product placement within the movie itself. If Disney thinks they’re going to fill seats with something as insipid as this, they’re sadly mistaken.
