The state’s evolved tourism brand Tasmania – Come Down for Air invites travelers to take a break from the stress and routine of their everyday lives.
Chief Executive Officer, John Fitzgerald, and Chief Marketing Officer, Emma Terry said: “Tasmania – Come Down for Air brings calm to the cacophony of modern life and is the antidote to modern-day advertising. There will be no picture-perfect moments or models experiencing generic activities. Instead, our brand rejects the sea of sameness and communicates with travelers in an anti-ordinary way.”
The message is: “Welcome to a different state. A place where the uncommon is common. Where you can throw off the shackles and feel freedom, warmth, excitement, curiosity. Come down and feel human again. Come down for air. This film, one of four created for Tourism Tasmania’s 2019 brand campaign, was shot in Stanley with ‘The Nut’ in the background. The quaint seaside town is home to a range of boutique accommodation, historical attractions, wine bars, fresh seafood and, of course, Tassie scallop pies.”
