  1. So I’m just about fed up with this ad. Why don’t the parents respond with “Why are you up?”, “Did you need a drink of water?”
    Instead they engage the child in a discussion rather than a solid and stern response.
    This is another example of why kids/teenagers/young adults are the way the are nowadays – confrontational, undisciplined and expecting to get exactly what they ask for when they ask for it. I think Breyers and the ad agency that created & sold this ad to Breyers is just continuing to promote weak parenting.

  2. The parents are just plain mean and deceitful. The kid had a legitimate question, and the parents answered it in a way that made the kid (and anybody else watching the commercial) want some gelato. How can parents be so selfish? Couldn’t they just give the kid a small bowl of his own instead of eating it in front of him?
