The impossible becomes reality in Sky Mobiles new TV campaign. In this article, we’ll take a look at this advert and review it with scores out of 10 for various essential criteria. Take a look through our notes and see if you agree with our scores.

Memorability – 8 / 10

The visuals and content are certainly captivating which is a huge plus in terms of memorability. The creativity behind the impossible feats on display is a mark of the budget and quality that has been invested in the concept. The first half of the ad is dedicated to drawing you in, and the second half is then allowed to explain it all to you, as well as throw a clear image of a dancing mobile to reinforce the fact that the clip refers to Sky’s mobile products. A great star casting, excellent graphics, and clever content ensure the commercial is hard to forget.

Effectiveness – 7 / 10

Does it make us want to convert? Well, to a degree it does. If you had never thought of Sky as a mobile network provider before, this advert would certainly go a long way in introducing Sky as a quality potential option worth looking into. That is the key aim of this concept. To launch the brand into the market with a concept that spreads as much awareness as possible. They have done well to tackle this objective with content that is not too extreme, is positive, uplifting and clearly represents “making things you wouldn’t expect actually happen”.

Style – 7 / 10

Very catchy and attractive visuals ensure the ad is as pretty as possible. The concept is perfectly in tune with today’s modern Hollywood style cinematography. Full of clever features and stunning visual effects. The content screams notions of sheer quality, doing things in new innovative ways, and making a difference to the way we live in the modern world. The soundtrack is subtle and allows the visuals and dialogue to take the front stage. There’s nothing worse than a score that takes away from the scenes, but that is not a problem here.

Heart or Humor – 8 / 10

This is all heart and we love the amount of effort that has gone into showing ideas that make modern life more exciting as well as easier. The motions and concepts on display are not random, each is a symbol of making life smoother and more enjoyable. Fantastic production value and a great casting definitely help to bolster the aesthetics of the clip. Do we wish the choreography was more dramatic and elaborate? Perhaps, but the production team were probably just as concerned with coming across genuine and reliable, which calls for grace and calm, as opposed to sheer action and chaos.

Execution – 8/ 10

A wonderful idea that has been brought to life with precision and huge production ability. We love the simplicity and captivating nature of the movement throughout the clip. Stunning visuals combined with a stellar and relative young female star casting brings a level of quality to the concept that is impossible to ignore.
