Picture this: Gliding through the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand’s South Island, wrapped in the opulence of a Bentley. This isn’t just a car advertisement; it’s an invitation to a lifestyle. Bentley Motors takes us on a one-minute journey with their “Extraordinary Journeys New Zealand” advert, offering a glimpse into a world where luxury meets adventure.
Pros:
- Scenic Storytelling: The ad masterfully weaves a tale of elegance and adventure. Traversing the Ahuriri Valley and soaring over glaciers, it showcases New Zealand’s splendor, positioning Bentley as a passport to unparalleled experiences.
- Brand Lifestyle Integration: Bentley transcends the typical car advertisement, delving into experiential marketing. It’s a smart move, aligning with luxury counterparts like Rolex and Louis Vuitton, where the focus is on an exclusive lifestyle.
- Emotional Appeal: The advert creates a dreamy, aspirational narrative by emphasizing unique experiences like stargazing and helicopter rides. It’s not just selling a car; it’s offering a key to an elite club of experiences.
Cons:
- Niche Audience Limitation: While effective in targeting the luxury market, the ad’s focus on high-end experiences may not resonate with a broader audience.
- Product Underplay: In its bid to sell a lifestyle, the actual product – the Bentley car – takes a backseat, potentially underwhelming those interested in the car’s specifics.
- Risk of Overshadowing: The breathtaking New Zealand scenery might overshadow the Bentley itself, potentially diluting the brand’s impact in viewers’ minds.
