In the Long Run is the new commercial of Mercedes-Benz. The 4:43-min film was created by the advertising agency Antoni Garage and directed by Niclas Larsson through Iconoclast.
The marketing message of this touching advert is “True strength comes from within – an attitude that drives both the new GLE and a strong woman. One of her biggest dreams: master a triathlon. And the GLE is her daily companion.”
The actress in this movie is Marleen Verbeek. Marleen said “FULL CIRCLE – I got offered the extraordinary opportunity to star as the lead role in a Mercedes commercial. The story is about a mother with a prosthetic leg. She is a fighter and she does not give up. After losing her leg due to an accident she participates in a triathlon.
For me, this was an incredible experience. I got to flip the negative into a positive. My leg and scars were exactly the reason for them to cast me. I have been fighting for years to make the most out of all this that has happened to me. Days of almost losing my life, weeks of coma, months of hospital, years of struggle and pain. This for me is FULL CIRCLE.
It’s time to let go of the pain. Accept all that I am and embrace life. I am so grateful for this journey. It has shown me my worst and my best. I would never change it. It\u2019s ok to be different. We all are in the end. And we all have to find a way to accept our imperfections. FOR ALL THE MILES THAT MAKE YOU STRONGER”
