Wieden + Kennedy, Amsterdam, did this touching Milka Christmas commercial. Directed by French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (a director with a predilection for a fantastic cinema where form is as important as the subject known for “Amelie” (2001) starring Audrey Tautou and Mathieu Kassovitz)
The advert is set to Milka’s fictional Alpine town of Lilaberg and tells the story of a little boy which builds a time machine to speed things along because he can’t wait for Christmas to come. His family works together to make an early Christmas miracle come true. Because we believe there’s no need to wait for Christmas Day to share some special time with loved ones.
Milka: The Time Machine advert resemble me “Click (2006)” movie where Adam Sandler, a workaholic architect finds a universal remote that allows him to fast-forward and rewind to different parts of his life. Complications arise when the remote starts to overrule his choices. It is not a good option to skip parts of your life.
